Cincinnati Dance Marathon

The Cincinnati Dance Marathon Organization has contacted us asking if we would like to create a short video about the Marathon in order to promote it for following years. If you are unfamiliar with the Dance Marathon, it is exactly what it sounds like: a large group of people dancing and doing activities in the Rec Center from February 6th and 7th from 1PM-1PM, while people donate money and get sponsors in order to raise money for charity. This was a very successful fundraiser last year, and with our help it could become a even bigger event in the years to come. Basically we would like to do a short promotional video for them, so we would need footage of the actual Dance Marathon, as well as a few interviews.

If you are interested in helping with this event (February 6th and 7th from 1PM-1PM in the Campus Recreation Center), please let us know via email to ucast51@gmail.com. Not only is this a good opportunity to learn video production skills, but it is also a great way to get involved on campus, and it would probably be possible to get volunteer hours if you need them for Cincinnatus or other scholarships. The University of Cincinnati All Student Television Station is featured through out campus on Channel 51. It highlights student made programming while providing experience in the fields of broadcasting and producing.

UCAST is the University of Cincinnati’s All Student Student Television Station that is aired campus wide on Channel 51. It is open to students and faculty alike and serves as a great opportunity to gain experience in the field of media as well as creating and broadcasting content.
